⓺ Charting a Progress Note

Document important events with ease by writing Resident notes. Learn how to create notes efficiently, assign priority levels, and ensure seamless communication among your team.

Use the search on the dashboard to find a resident quickly

1. Access Progress Notes

  • Navigate to a resident's profile.

  • Click the "Notes" icon in the top right (it may say “No Notes” if there are none yet).

  • Click the blue “New” button to start a new note.

2. Fill Out a New Note

  • Select or write a subject.

  • Mark the note as “Important” if you want a staff notification popup.

Use higher levels for notes needing immediate attention.

  • Use the toolbar to add images, files, or embed HTML (e.g., a YouTube video).

  • Adjust the date/time of the note if needed.

  • Click “Save as draft” to finish later or “Save and close” to finalize.

Including visuals can provide valuable context.

 3. Edit and Track Notes

  • Click the three dots (⋯) on any note to:

    • Edit the note (revised tag appears if enabled)

    • View who has acknowledged the note

    • Print or send the note individually

4. Filter and Search Notes

  • View notes from the last 3 to 24 months.

  • Filter by:

    • Keywords

    • Subject

    • Status

    • Importance (e.g., only critical notes)

5. Quick Add Note from Anywhere

  • Click the plus (+) button in the bottom right of any screen.

  • Select “Add Resident Notes” to quickly write a note from other areas like Med Pass.

6. Facility Notes

  • Use for non-resident-specific topics like fire drills or supply lists.

  • Same process and tools as resident notes but located under “Facility” section.

7. Staff Notes

Did You Know? You can also add notes for staff members or at the facility level.

  • From the main dashboard, click the “Write a Note” icon.

  • Choose to send a message or announcement to all staff.

  • Mark it important to trigger notifications.

  • Staff notes are saved under each profile’s Notes section.

8. Review Personal Notes

  • Click on your profile and open “Notes” to see all notes you've written or received.

Accountability Matters: This ensures everyone stays informed.
