Q: Can I use my current fax line with Synkwise?
A: Yes. You must go through the port process, though, which takes [number of days] days.

Q: Can I buy a fax line from Synkwise?
A: Yes, if you’ve subscribed to the fax add-on, you can purchase a faxline for $1.00/month on top of the 20$ a Month subcription to the sercive.

Q: Can I have a separate Synkwise fax number for each of my facilities? 
A: Yes, but you need to pay for each facility. You cannot use a Synkwise fax number for multiple facilities if you are only paying for one.

Q: How much does the Fax Module cost?
A: The Fax Module is a $20/month add-on per facility, billed alongside the facility’s Synkwise subscription. This is a flat fee, regardless of usage (number of pages sent or received).

Q: Why did we choose flat-rate pricing instead of usage-based pricing?
A: We opted for flat-rate pricing to simplify billing and avoid confusion. Here’s why this makes sense:

  • Predictable Costs: Clients know exactly what to expect on their invoice—no surprises from per-page billing or overage fees.
  • No Monitoring Needed: Facilities don’t need to track usage, page counts, or worry about hitting limits.
  • Simplifies Invoicing: A consistent $20 fee per facility reduces billing disputes and lowers support overhead related to variable costs.
  • Encourages Adoption: Facilities are more likely to embrace the module without hesitation or fear of hidden charges.
  • Mission-Aligned: Our goal is to increase operational efficiency, not penalize usage. This pricing structure supports that philosophy.

Q: Can customers use one fax number for multiple facilities?
A: Yes. Customers with multiple facilities have two configuration options:

  1. Separate Fax Numbers per Facility
    Each facility gets its own dedicated fax number, and each is billed $20/month.

  2. Single Shared Fax Number Across Facilities
    Customers may opt to use one shared fax number across multiple facilities for administrative convenience. However, each facility is still billed $20/month, regardless of whether the fax number is shared or unique.

💡 Important: The billing is per facility, not per fax number. The decision to share a fax line does not reduce the total cost. This ensures each facility maintains proper license coverage, support, and compliance.

Q: Does the module include unlimited pages?
A: Yes. The $20/month price includes unlimited inbound and outbound pages (within fair-use limits as defined in our internal policies).

Q: If I port my current number can I still fax from my fax machine if needed and can I still make phone calls from that line if needed? Also, do I need to add long distance to my number if I don’t currently have long distance?
A: No. You cannot still use your fax machine - it has to be connected to a phone line. When you port your number over to Synkwise, it disables your ability to do anything with that number outside of Sykwise. Regarding the long distance, no, don’t need to do that either.
