Extracting Data from an Inactive Resident

Print and extract previous records of an inactive resident

FAQ: I need to print the MAR and all the resident's documents, but they are inactive. How can I find their previous information?

  1. Navigate to Inactive Residents

    • Go to Manage Facility in Synkwise.

    • Click on the Resident subsection.

    • Select the Inactive tab to see residents who have moved out or passed away.

    • Pay attention to the inactive date—you’ll only find data prior to this date.

  2. Access Notes

    • Select a resident from the inactive list.

    • Go to the Notes section.

    • Choose a date range (e.g., last 3 months or last 24 months).

    • Click Print to generate a PDF of the notes for that time frame.

  3. View Medication Logs (Med Log)

    • Navigate to the Med Pass section, then go into Med Log.

    • Choose a past start date to view historical medication records.

    • Select a specific month to see all medication signatures for that time.

    • Note: There is no bulk download; you must extract data month-by-month.

  4. Make Edits if Needed

    • If the window for signing medications has passed, temporarily reactivate the resident.

    • Make your changes, then deactivate them again.

  5. Extract Vitals

    • Select a custom time range (e.g., January 1 to today) or use predefined ranges like “last 12 months.”

    • Choose vitals with numeric entries.

    • Click Print to export selected vitals.

    • Tip: Large time ranges may slow down the system.

  6. Download Incident Reports

    • Incident reports must be downloaded individually.

  7. Extract MAR, Medication List, Progress Notes, and Documents

    • For each category, select a time frame to export.

    • For documents, you can:

      • Download all files within a folder.

      • Select multiple folders, then click Download to save them all at once.

  8. Print the Resident’s Profile

    • Go to the Resident Profile section.

    • Print the full face sheet for complete resident information.

If you experience issues during the process, use the Contact button at the bottom right corner of the screen for support.
