  1. Add the Medication as a Custom Entry

    • Log in to your Synkwise account.
    • Go to the "Add Medication" section.
    • Under "Drug Name," input the nebulizer kit name (e.g., nebulizer, mouthpiece).
  2. Fill in the Medication Details

    • Set the drug route as "Oral" or "Inhalation," as applicable.
    • Enter the dose (e.g., one mouthpiece).
    • Specify the form (e.g., inhalant).
  3. Set the Start Date and Frequency

    • Adjust the start date as needed (backdate if required).
    • Set the frequency for changing the mouthpiece to "Once a Week."
    • Add the specific day and time for the change.
  4. Write Clear Instructions

    • In the instructions field, include notes like “Change nebulizer mouthpiece weekly.”
    • Add any additional details as required.
  5. Add the Diagnosis

    • Ensure the correct diagnosis and code are included. These can be added in the profile section.

    • Add a forward slash, followed by the second dosage (e.g., 20 milligrams).

    • Dose and instructions, specifying the total amount (e.g., "10 mg/20 mg").

    • Ensure all fields are filled accurately as per the medication order.

    • Navigate to the med pass, go back to the previous application date, and mark the patch as removed.
  6. Handling 12-Hour Patches

    • For 12-hour patches, an additional custom medication entry is needed.
    • Create a second entry with "Remove" in the drug name and select "Topical" instead of "Transdermal."
    • This allows removal documentation without requiring a time range.
  7. Finalizing the Entry in Medpass

    • Verify the patch application and removal in the med pass.
    • Disable the body area selection if only documenting removal.
    • Ensure the correct times and patch type (transdermal for 24-hour, topical for 12-hour) are used.
