Efficiently manage residents' health data with Synkwise's Health Monitor. Caregivers can quickly enter and review vital signs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for quality care.
Access Resident Care:
- Begin by navigating to the Resident Care section in the platform and selecting a resident's profile. In this example, we'll use Betty White's profile.
Open Health Monitor:
- On the right side of the profile, you'll find an icon labeled "Health Monitor." Click on this icon to access the section where vital signs and other health information can be entered.
View Previous Entries:
- To view previously entered data, click the down arrow to open the calendar. Select the date you wish to review. You can also enter data for previous dates if necessary.
Set Viral Restrictions:
- At the top of the Health Monitor page, there's a "Viral Restrictions" button. This feature allows you to set specific vital parameters for each resident, ensuring personalized care. Enter the necessary information and click "Save" when done.
Add a Blood Pressure Reading:
- Click "Add Value" on the right side to enter a new blood pressure reading.
- A pop-up will appear where you can enter the reading, such as 120/60.
- You can adjust the time and date the reading was taken.
- Click "Save" to document the entry. The entry will show who documented it and when.
Review and Adjust Blood Pressure Alerts:
- Click on "Blood Pressure" to see a list of readings.
- If a reading is outside the set parameters, it will appear in red, indicating an issue.
- Adjust the reading to see the red indicator disappear, reflecting normal blood pressure.
Add Additional Vital Signs:
- Heart Rate
- Respiratory Rate: Choose from several options.
- Weight
- Temperature: Select the appropriate measurement type.
- Oxygen Saturation: Options include Liter Per Minute (LPM).
- Blood Glucose
- Pain Management: Select the correct emoji.
- Bowel Movement: Add details as needed.
- Bathing: Mark as completed.
- Catheter Care: Check if done.
- Nail Care: Indicate completion if applicable.
- Range of Motion: Document exercises or similar activities.
- INR Tracking: Enter the most recent value.
- Meal Intake: Enter the percentage consumed.
Fluid and Catheter Tracking:
- Residents needing fluid intake tracking, record their fluid intake.
- If a resident has a catheter, document the output label on the bag.
View Vital Statistics Reports:
- Scroll to the top of the Health Monitor page and click "Vital Statistics" to access the Reports module.
- Scroll to the bottom to see the default list of vital signs recorded over the month. Initially, six vital signs are displayed by default.
Customize Report Display:
- To view more vital signs, scroll to the top and click the dropdown menu.
- Use the checkboxes to select additional vital signs you wish to display.
- After selecting the desired options, click "Print" to preview the monthly report.
Access Past Reports:
- Use the calendar icon at the top to navigate and view reports from previous months.
By following these steps, caregivers can efficiently manage and track residents' vital signs, ensuring timely interventions and personalized care. The Health Monitor is a powerful tool that simplifies the documentation and review process, contributing to better health outcomes for residents.
