How do I chart a note in Synkwise?

This article explains how to chart notes for a resident.


Understanding Progress Notes in Synkwise

  1. Accessing Progress Notes

    • Click on the resident's profile from the dashboard.

    • Navigate to the Notes section.

  2. Creating a Progress Note

    • Click on New.

    • Enter a subject for the note (predefined options available).

    • Add a description, including free text, images, and links.

    • Designate the date, time, and importance level (Low, Routine, Important, Critical).

    • Save and Close or Save as Draft.

  3. Importance of Importance Field

    • Notes marked as Important or Critical are displayed on the dashboard for all staff members to see.

    • Ensures important information is easily accessible and visible to everyone.

  4. Additional Options

    • Shortcut button in MedPass for quick note-taking.

    • Ability to create notes for staff members or at the facility level.

    • More options & settings are available by clicking on the three dots of a progress note.

  5. Accountability and Visibility

    • View more option allows users to see when a note was viewed.

    • Promotes accountability and ensures everyone is informed and on the same page.
