How to Port Your Current Fax Number

Already have a fax number? Start porting that number to be used in our internal eFaxing Service!

  1. Access the Porting Feature

    • Go to your Synkwise workspace, open the eFax module, and navigate to My eFax.

    • Click on Port (top-right corner).

  2. Enter Fax Number

    • Enter your existing fax number clearly in the provided field, as this acts as your account identifier.

  3. Complete Account Details

    • Username or Business Name: Enter exactly what's on file with your current fax provider (usually the account holder's name or business name).

    • Authorized Person Name: Provide the name listed under your current fax account's billing details.

    • Billing Telephone Number & Account Number: Typically, these are your existing fax number; verify in your current fax provider's billing section.

    • PIN Code: Enter the four-digit PIN provided by your current fax service provider.

    • Service Address: Enter the physical location where your current fax service is billed (found under billing details).

  4. Set Activation Date

    • Choose the earliest available date for activation if you wish to activate ASAP.

    • Synkwise's provider (Telnyx) will request this date from your current provider.

  5. Upload Billing Statement

    • Retrieve your billing statement from your current provider.

    • Convert the billing information into a PDF (copy/paste into a Word doc, then save as PDF or screenshot and convert).

    • Upload this PDF in the provided area.

  6. Generate and Sign Letter of Authorization (LOA)

    • Click Auto-generate to create the LOA.

    • Fill in necessary details again (fax number, name, etc.).

    • Digitally sign and submit the LOA form.

  7. Request CSR Letter

    • Contact your current fax provider and request a Customer Service Record (CSR) letter specifically for port-out.

    • Await receipt of the CSR letter (typically within 24-72 hours).

  8. Save and Complete the Process

    • Save your progress as a draft while awaiting the CSR letter.

    • Return later to upload the CSR document once received.

    • Once submitted, monitor the status under My eFax until you see it marked as ported.
