Introducing Inbound Faxing: Setting Up and Using eFax

Create a new fax number to start receiving and sending out faxes using your desired number

  1. Activate eFax Service

    • Navigate to the left-side menu and click the eFax icon.

    • Review the subscription details provided.

    • Click Activate to enable the monthly subscription ($20/month, HIPAA compliant).

  2. Set Up a New Fax Number

    • After activation, select Add New Phone Number.

    • Search by desired area code and preferred digits (e.g., "360" and numbers containing "7").

    • Choose your desired number from the displayed results and click Choose.

    • Confirm the selection by clicking OK and then Next, followed by Done.

  3. Manage Fax Number Settings

    • Click My eFax at the top right to view your active fax number.

    • Select More (three dots icon) to edit, deactivate, or assign the fax number to multiple facilities.

  4. Receive a Fax

    • Send a test fax to your newly created number.

    • Refresh the eFax page and observe the fax status updating from Receiving to Received.

    • Click the received fax to preview contents, including a snapshot summary.

  5. Organize Received Faxes

    • Click the three dots next to the fax and select Save to Documents.

    • Choose a resident’s folder or a facility’s miscellaneous folder to store the fax.

    • Verify storage by navigating to the selected document folders.

  6. Send a Fax

    • Select Compose New Fax to create a new fax.

    • Complete the fax cover sheet information.

    • Attach documents directly from saved resident or facility folders.

    • Choose a recipient from your Synkwise Contacts list.

  7. Manage Contacts

    • Access the centralized Contacts section to view and manage contacts across multiple facilities and residents.
