Edit and add the information to the missing fields to fix the common issue of being unable to finalize
FAQ: I'm getting an error at the top right screen when I try to finalize an assessment or care plan. How can I fix this?

Open the Assessment Form

Go to the assessment you’re trying to finalize.

This typically relates to the care plan section.

Check Required Fields

Look for fields marked with a star (*), which are required.

For example, the resident’s name field is mandatory.

Trigger the Error to Locate the Issue

Try finalizing the assessment.

If any required field is missing, you’ll see an error message at the top: “An error occurred while finalizing.”

Identify the Problem Area

Click on the assessment’s Actions menu and select Finalize again.

Synkwise will highlight the missing or incomplete fields in red, helping you locate what needs to be filled in.

Fix and Save

Complete the missing information (e.g., re-enter the resident’s name).

Click Save.

Finalize the Assessment

Return to the assessments page.

Click Finalize—the form should now successfully complete.
